Graphic Design

Jay has produced dozens of promotional pieces for various businesses. A self-taught graphics designer, he has frequently used his photographic skills as a starting point for many pieces. His work frequently expresses the same sort of humor that made him a professional comedian. Jay’s promotional photography has also been seen in the Denver Post, the Loveland Reporter-Herald, the Fort Collins Coloradoan, and the Longmont Times-Call.

Pieces designed completely by Jay:

Maximum Comedy branding – the pieces were created by Jay for his company Maximum Comedy which brought nationally-touring comedians into 4 different cities in Northern Colorado.MC_Logo-1600x1200

Art Direction for Bas Bleu Theatre Company 2015-16 Season

All 5 posters

Jay was art director for the 2015-16 Season branding. He chose a fairly novel unifying theme of shades of red (particularly for a theatre called “Bas Bleu”). The use of differing fonts was also a new approach (for the theater) Jay chose for that season, using the immediate identification customers have with fonts as a major design element. Illustrations and layout by Audrey Ancell.

Beckett's Women-photo and logo text Samuel_Beckett,_Pic,_1
